Plate 01 — The Birch, Autumn Afternoon the Birch
Second of four sister cabins. Identical bones — same beds, same kitchen, same morning light — named for the birches that shine in the dark timber and catch the wind where there's none.

Plate 08 — Silver birch leaves catching wind, May Birches are the peacocks of Montana’s trees. Silver and green and always moving — even on still days they seem to catch wind from somewhere. When a real wind comes through them, you hear something that sounds like waves, an ocean of leaves rolling over itself. Stand under a birch grove with your eyes closed and you’ll think you’re at the coast.
In fall they join the larches in the show — yellow and gold and copper, leaves trembling on slender branches before they let go all at once. The rest of the year their white bark stands out against the green and brown of everything else, slim and bright and unmistakable from a distance.

This home was cozy and well appointed with lots of amenities. I loved the coffee bar and the new deck! It was the perfect place to have morning coffee and work remotely. The view is beautiful and peaceful. I would definitely stay here again!

I absolutely loved my stay here. The pictures did not do the home justice as I felt it was even cuter than the pictures show. My pups and I enjoyed a short stay while visiting Glacier National Park. I hope to return someday and would be thrilled to stay here again! The hosts were polite, responsive, and helpful.

Great little cabin just off the main road into Glacier. We stayed for three nights with two full-sized dogs and had zero issues. We already had plans for exploring Glacier and the surrounding area, but Forrest & Marielle still went out of their way to share helpful recommendations ahead of our stay. Overall, a fantastic experience—we’ll definitely be back. And the price can’t be beat. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay with a super accessible location! Having lived in the valley before, I was excited to see a rental available in this location. Super close to Glacier but still only a mile from Columbia Falls and all the restaurants there!
is the rate — nothing padded on top.
